5 ways to give 'Physical' Sadaqah

The prophet ( peace be upon Him) said: “On every person’s joints or small bones (i.e. fingers and toes), there is sadaqah (charity) due every day when the sun rises. Doing justice between two people is sadaqah; assisting a man to mount his animal, or lifting up his belongings onto it is sadaqah; a good word is sadaqah; every step you take towards prayer is sadaqah; and removing harmful things from pathways is sadaqah.” [Muslim]

This post only summarize what I have read from productivemuslim article. Based on hadeeth above we might conclude, to do good deeds are not only from mental acts but it also came out from physical acts too .As we want to upgrade our 'amal' we just follow what have been said by our Prophet Muhammad saw.  Thus ,we can perform it in our daily life in order to gain our accomplishment by getting His blessings .

1) Begin your life with a smile
We oftenly heard sadaqah/charity is only related with money and property. It happens when the rich help the poor person or strong help for needy. These are what we heard with parochialism way and the effects was very limited whereas there are more ways we give charity other than merely provision of material. It's not denied it could be a mechanism to create justice in society but hadeeth from Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) : "..Every smile is charity .." have expanded the meaning of charity and thought about it:  the meaning of the material to the spiritual meaning of natureopens up a vastspace without boundaries.

2) Remember Allah frequently
As a Muslim we always claimed to dzikir/ remember Allah Ta'ala in any circumstances we are. Even we are standing , sitting or lying down , either in a pleasant position or not. Due to remember Allah , our heart and life in tranquil and peaceable .

"Those who have believed and whose hearts are assured by the remembrance of Allah . Unquestionably, by the remembrance of Allah hearts are assured."( Ar-Ra'd ;28)
In a hadeeth , the Prophet sollallahu `alaihi wasallam said:
That is: the parable of the berdzikir with people who do not berdzikir as the living and the dead. (Narrated by Bukhari and Muslim from Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari).

3) Remove harm from the pathway
The Prophet (peace be upon him) meant to remove any harm off the road whether it is tangible such as filth or moral such as actions which take place in the streets and cause harm to the by passers whether they are bad words or actions which are not acceptable to common sense and the public taste.
Moreover ,it will increase our vigilance and could be improve the ambience's of society in comfortable and protected .

4) Says good words
The Prophet said: He who believes in Allah and the Hereafter, let him speak only good things or keep quiet and those who believe in Allah and the Hereafter, he should honor his neighbor. Similarly, those who believe in Allah and the Hereafter, he should honor his guests. (Bukhari)

5)Donate your talent/skill/strength

That's all :)
